A leading global organisation is seeking an IT Operations Specialist to join their thriving team in Alabang, Manila.
This is a fantastic opportunity for you to become the first point of contact for end-users, ensuring seamless day-to-day IT operations and supporting a secure digital environment. You will be part of a supportive and collaborative global team that values knowledge sharing, professional growth, and continuous learning. With access to career development and training opportunities, you will have the chance to expand your technical expertise while making a meaningful impact on the organisation's IT landscape. If you are passionate about helping others, enjoy variety in your workday, and thrive in a communal setting where your contributions are valued, this role offers the perfect platform for your next career step.
- Join a global IT operations team where your skills will be nurtured through ongoing training and career development opportunities, allowing you to grow both personally and professionally within a supportive environment.
- Be at the forefront of delivering reliable IT services by providing first-line support to end-users, managing infrastructure monitoring tools, and assisting with security incident handling across a diverse and dynamic organisation.
- Experience a workplace culture that emphasises collaboration, knowledge sharing, and process improvement through automation, all while working alongside considerate colleagues who are committed to creating an inclusive and growth-oriented atmosphere.
What You'll Do
As an IT Operations Specialist based in Alabang, you will play an integral role in ensuring the smooth functioning of daily IT activities within a global organisation. Your responsibilities will span from being the go-to person for end-user support—addressing everything from access requests to troubleshooting complex technical issues—to actively monitoring infrastructure health using sophisticated tools. You will also contribute significantly to maintaining robust security standards by assisting with incident handling procedures. In this position, you will collaborate with colleagues worldwide, document effective solutions for common problems, and help drive process improvements through automation. Your ability to communicate clearly, work dependably within a team setting, and adapt quickly to evolving challenges will be key factors in your success. The role offers ample variety each day as you balance hands-on technical tasks with opportunities for knowledge sharing and personal development.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for end-users by efficiently handling requests related to access provisioning, license management, and troubleshooting hardware or software issues.
- Monitor critical infrastructure using advanced tools such as LogicMonitor or similar platforms, responding promptly to alerts to maintain system reliability and performance.
- Assist with security incident handling by following established protocols and contributing to the maintenance of a secure digital environment for all users.
- Deploy new devices and manage application support tasks, ensuring smooth onboarding experiences and consistent service delivery throughout the organisation.
- Document solutions to recurring issues and share insights with your team to foster collective knowledge growth and streamline future problem-solving efforts.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across global teams to deliver reliable IT services while maintaining open lines of communication and mutual support.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for automation that enhance efficiency and reduce manual workloads.
- Support enterprise applications on Windows OS environments while providing comprehensive end-user assistance for various technical challenges.
- Participate in regular reviews of IT operations processes, offering constructive feedback aimed at optimising workflows and enhancing service quality.
- Maintain up-to-date awareness of best practices in IT security, infrastructure management, and incident response procedures.
What You Bring
The ideal candidate for the IT Operations Specialist position brings not only strong technical acumen but also excellent interpersonal abilities that foster trust among colleagues. Your background includes hands-on experience supporting cloud-based infrastructures like AWS or Azure alongside traditional Windows environments. You are comfortable navigating complex monitoring systems while remaining sensitive to the needs of end-users who rely on your guidance every day. Your approach is always considerate—balancing independent initiative with collaborative teamwork—and you consistently demonstrate reliability under pressure. Additionally, your willingness to learn new technologies combined with clear communication skills ensures that you can adapt quickly as organisational priorities evolve. Experience with Linux/MacOS administration or familiarity with industry-standard service management tools would further enhance your contribution in this role.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience gained through relevant roles within IT operations or support environments.
- At least two years' proven experience working in IT operations, service desk functions, or direct IT support roles within medium-to-large organisations.
- Hands-on expertise with AWS or Azure administration including identity access management (IAM), resource management, monitoring configurations, and general cloud platform maintenance.
- Solid understanding of Windows operating systems as well as enterprise application environments; demonstrated ability to provide comprehensive end-user support across these platforms.
- Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring tools such as LogicMonitor or comparable solutions; able to interpret alerts effectively and take appropriate action when required.
- Awareness of current IT security practices along with experience participating in incident response activities under established guidelines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; able to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users while maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently when necessary but also thrive as part of a globally distributed team focused on shared goals.
