About the Role:

We are seeking a
Research and Development (RnD) Associate
to join our dynamic team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge ingredients, create innovative menu items, and ensure the highest quality food products across our operations. As an R&D Associate, you will play a key role in sensory testing, recipe development, and ensuring all operational procedures are followed to maintain the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct sensory testing of products, particularly when introducing new ingredients or suppliers, ensuring consistency in taste, appearance, and texture compared to existing products.
  • Develop, test, and refine new recipes and menu items, aligning with current food trends and customer preferences.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for food preparation, handling, and storage.
  • Monitor compliance with food safety and sanitation standards across the organization.
  • Review CCTV footage when necessary to verify adherence to procedures and investigate any operational issues.
  • Facilitate training sessions for new kitchen helpers and food handlers, focusing on recipe execution, food safety, and kitchen protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of product tests, supplier evaluations, outlet visit reports, and quality audits.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hotel and Tourism Management, Food Technology, Food Science, Nutrition, or any related food field.
  • Prior experience in a quality control or assurance role in the food industry is preferred (entry-level experience is accepted).
  • Solid understanding of food safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a highly organized work style.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
