Our Head office is based in Oxfordshire, UK and we have a small global team of colleagues.

Role

Reporting to the Head of Desk-Based Research, the Data Researcher is responsible for collecting, validating and updating data on international schools from a wide range of sources, ensuring our global database remains current, accurate, and comprehensive.

Working to defined deadlines, the individual will follow a structured weekly plan aligned to geographic priorities and the annual data collection schedule. This role requires the ability to balance thorough, high-quality research with sound judgement on when to conclude analysis in order to meet productivity and accuracy targets.

Will demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, strong analytical and technology skills, and the resourcefulness to locate and verify information that is not always readily accessible. You will also be expected to uphold our quality standards, ensure consistency in data entry, and achieve hourly production targets.

Based in the Philippines, you will work from home and connect with colleagues globally via TEAMS.

Responsibilities

• Conduct open-source research and data verification on a variety of schools, school contacts and educational institutions in line with the data collection schedule, meeting targets
• Maintain, update, and create school and contact records within the bespoke database
• Ensure all data fields are completed accurately and consistently, adhering to defined data rules and quality standards
• Confidence to phone schools on occasion to obtain specific data for client orders
• Respond to ad-hoc data requests and support special projects as required
• Participate in team quality checking to uphold data integrity
• Following the Quality Management System and Information Security Management System (ISO 9001 & 27001 framework)

Key Skills

• Proven experience in data entry, with excellent written English and the ability to accurately input both numerical and textual data
• Highly self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining strong productivity and quality standards
• Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines
• Demonstrates a genuine passion for data research, with an inquisitive mindset
• Strong digital literacy and confidence using a range of web-based research tools, databases, and systems
• Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions, work accurately, and take ownership of allocated tasks
• Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to respond to changing business needs and support ad-hoc tasks or projects
• Skilled in online research, including the ability to investigate beyond readily available sources to uncover relevant information
• Degree-educated (or equivalent experience)
• Strong keyboard and typing skills with high levels of speed and accuracy
