About the Role

We are seeking a passionate
Home School Teacher & AME Learning Facilitator
to guide three gifted and curious 6-year-old boys through a
dynamic, project-based, and whole-child learning journey
.

This is not traditional teaching—it's about
blending academics, play, travel, and exploration into a transformative educational adventure.
Rooted in
neuroscience, curiosity, and whole-child development
, this role will allow you to co-create learning experiences that are meaningful, joyful, and deeply connected to the world.


What You'll Be Doing

Create Immersive, Personalized Learning

  • Deliver one-on-one and small-group instruction in literacy, math, STEM, and executive function.
  • Design inquiry-driven, interdisciplinary projects tailored to the boys' interests.
  • Use storytelling, puzzles, games, and experiments to spark curiosity.

Foster Whole-Child Growth

  • Support motor skills, emotional intelligence, and social development.
  • Encourage independence through goal-setting, time management, and reflection.
  • Facilitate self-care practices (movement, journaling, mindfulness, gratitude).

Make Learning Travel-Friendly

  • Use natural wonders—volcanoes, seas, forests, waterfalls, wildlife—as springboards for discovery.
  • Turn daily life (cooking, local traditions, nature walks) into educational opportunities.
  • Integrate global experiences while living between Boracay and Reykjavik (with occasional travel to other destinations).

Guide the AME Learning Cycle (Curiosity → Creation → Contribution)

  1. Curiosity & Input:
    Co-create learning journeys with the boys through questions and democratic choices.
  2. Creation & Output:
    Guide projects, presentations, and real-world problem-solving.
  3. Contribution & Meaning:
    Encourage learners to connect their knowledge to purposeful contributions, sharing their work with an authentic audience.


What You Bring to the Table

Education & Background

  • Master's degree in Education, Early Childhood Development, Psychology, or Curriculum Design.
  • Experience in project-based learning, gifted/talented education, or nontraditional learning models (Montessori, experiential, or adventure-based).
  • Solid exposure in teaching gifted learners
  • International Teaching experience

Skills & Competencies

  • Expertise in STEM, literacy, and social-emotional learning.
  • Strong facilitation skills—shifting from teaching to guiding, questioning, and co-learning.
  • Neuroscience literacy: applying brain-body strategies for motivation and focus.
  • Emotional intelligence, adaptability, and creativity in any setting—home, outdoors, or on the go.
  • Collaboration with families, modeling growth mindset and lifelong learning.

Bonus Points For:

  • Adventure-based or travel learning experience.
  • Comfort living and working across cultures and geographies.
  • Legal status for residence in the Philippines and travel to/from Iceland (plus potential visits to Spain and Colombia).
