As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will ensure the quality, reliability, and functionality of software products by performing rigorous testing, detecting defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Your role bridges testers and developers, balancing hands-on execution with process improvement to drive excellence in every release.

The Qualifications We Seek

• At least 2-5 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance or testing roles, demonstrating a solid understanding of testing methodologies and best practices.
• Experience in manual testing.
• Proficiency with JIRA.
• Ability to write test scenarios and raise bug tickets.
• Strong analytical skills to identify root causes of defects, troubleshoot issues, and propose solutions to improve software quality.
• Mentor junior team members, provide technical guidance, and contribute to the overall growth and development of the QA team.
• Preferred: Hands-on experience testing using API, Web, and mobile.
• Preferred but not required: Non-functional testing and automation background.
• Experience using test management tools such as Jira, Xray, HP QC, etc.
• Good written and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision.

Your Daily Tasks

Test Execution

• Conduct functional, regression, compatibility, performance, and security testing.
• Identify, isolate, and document defects with clear and concise steps to reproduce.

Defect Identification and Reporting

• Detect, document, and track bugs through defect management tools.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolution.

Collaboration

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and scrum master, to understand requirements and ensure effective testing coverage.
• Provide input into project timelines and deliverables based on testing efforts.

Learning and Adaptability

• Stay updated on testing tools, methodologies, and industry trends.
• Adapt to evolving project requirements and technological advancements.

Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing

• Guide junior QA members on tools, processes, and techniques.
• Share knowledge gained from projects to build team competency.
