Purpose of the position:

Property Maintenance Technician responsible for performing routine maintenance and minor repairs in residential and/or commercial rental properties to ensure they are safe, functional, and well-maintained

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct general repairs and maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.

  • Perform regular inspections of properties to identify issues and ensure safety standards are met.

  • Respond promptly to service requests from tenants or property management.

  • Maintain common areas such as hallways, stairwells, and outdoor spaces.

  • Assist in turnover of rental units between tenants, including cleaning, patching walls, replacing fixtures, etc.

  • Coordinate with external contractors for more complex repairs or specialized services.

  • Keep accurate records of maintenance tasks performed and materials used.

  • Ensure compliance with local building codes and health and safety regulations.

Qualifications, knowledge, skills required:

· Proven experience in general maintenance, handyman work, or a similar role.

· Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.

· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Good communication skills and a professional demeanor.

· Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.

· High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is a plus.

· Valid driver's license and must own a motorcycle to be able to travel between property sites as part of daily responsibilities.

· Familiar with the Laguna territory.

  • May require occasional lifting, climbing ladders, and working in varying weather conditions.

  • On-call availability for emergency repairs (optional, based on business needs)
