About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Med Tech to join the team at Borough Medical Care Institute Inc. in Paranaque City, Metro Manila. As the Chief Med Tech, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the medical laboratory operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality diagnostic services to our patients. This is a full-time position within our growing organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the medical laboratory, ensuring efficiency, accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
  • Oversee the work of medical technologists and technicians, including scheduling, performance management and professional development
  • Implement and maintain quality assurance and control procedures to guarantee the integrity of laboratory results
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to understand their testing needs and optimise laboratory services
  • Analyse and interpret laboratory data to identify trends and make recommendations for process improvements
  • Ensure the proper maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting of all laboratory equipment
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in medical technology and laboratory practices
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the organisation's strategic objectives

What we're looking for

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience as a medical technologist or laboratory manager, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related field, with a valid license to practice as a med tech
  • In-depth knowledge of clinical laboratory operations, quality management systems and regulatory compliance
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively collaborate with healthcare professionals
  • Proficient in the use of laboratory information systems and data analysis tools
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
