Job Summary: Responsible for ensuring product quality and safety in the poultry and meat processing plant through proper laboratory practices, sampling, and analysis. Implements food safety standards aligned with Codex Alimentarius, GMP, SSOP, HACCP, and other quality systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Laboratory Management: Maintain lab operations and equipment to ensure accurate testing.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct audits to verify compliance with food safety standards.
  • Customer Care: Address product quality concerns and feedback.
  • Systems Compliance: Support adherence to company, customer, and regulatory standards.
  • Budget Monitoring: Track lab expenses to stay within budget.

Qualifications:

  • Preferably a licensed Food Technologist; graduates of BS Biology, Microbiology, Food Tech, Med Tech, Chemistry, or related fields are welcome.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in MS Excel and basic computer programs
  • Knowledge of lab equipment, culture media, and chemical agents
  • Able to analyze technical data and work independently
