Revit Documenter – Structural Design Studio

About the Role

We're on the lookout for a Revit Documenter to join our team and help shape how we deliver structural documentation across a wide range of projects. This is a  role suited to someone with 5–7+ years' experience in structural documentation using Revit.

You'll take ownership of documentation sets from concept through to construction, working closely with Project and Senior Engineers to coordinate design output and align documentation with architectural intent. You'll also be involved in improving internal systems, QA processes, templates, and BIM implementation — helping us work smarter across the board.

This is not just a drafting role. You'll play an active part in the delivery process, take responsibility for the quality of output, and support continuous improvement in how we work. We're looking for someone who takes pride in doing things properly, is technically curious, and enjoys being part of a team that values good design.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop complete structural documentation sets in Revit across all project stages
• Coordinate drawing packages in line with architectural, engineering, and site requirements
• Forecast and communicate documentation timelines and resource needs
• Assist with internal QA processes and review drawing quality before issue
• Contribute to the development of Revit templates, libraries, and documentation standards
• Assist in implementing and maintaining BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) on projects
• Collaborate with the engineering team to refine workflows and reduce double-handling
• Identify opportunities to improve tools, plugins, or digital processes
• Communicate effectively with engineers and other drafters regarding documentation outputs
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments, documentation standards, and construction trends

Skills & Experience Required

• Minimum 5–7 years of Revit experience in a structural drafting or documentation role
• Proficient in detailing for concrete (RC/PT), steel, timber, masonry, and retaining structures
• Strong knowledge of Australian building codes, documentation standards, and construction detailing
• Ability to deliver documentation independently with minimal rework
• Comfortable working across multiple project types (civic, multi-res, public realm, education, residential)
• Experience coordinating with engineers
• Clear communicator who is proactive and solutions / outcomes focused
• Proficient in 3d and 2d parametric families
• Manage BIM360 or ACC documents and collaboration

Desirable (But Not Essential)

• Experience with Revit plugins, model auditing tools, or BIM coordination platforms and scripting
• Understanding of design risk and how documentation impacts construction timelines and liability

• 80,000PHP + monthly salary depending on skills and capacity of candidate.

Must-have education, certifications, or years of experience

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
• 5-7 Years experience in Revit Drafting (Australian project experience preferred)

Core technical skills

• Able to add and manage other discipline backgrounds from different digital format such as AutoCAD, IFC and the like in Revit documentation
• Manage template and maintain Revit template file and libraries.
• May assist and support dynamo and python coding
• Creates and update both 2D and 3D Revit families
• Interpret both Bluebeam markups and Excel input and implement in Revit documentation
• Able to create BIM360/ACC project file and manage Document Management, Model Coordination and Design Collaboration modules
• Proficient in managing and modifying schedules in Revit
• Basic knowledge of Dynamo Scripting and Revit API are essential
• Basic knowledge of Python/ C# Scripting is not essential but would be advantageous
• Execute translation and migration of AutoCAD details to Revit
• Understand Australian code standards and its impact to drafting and detailing
• Has the ability to do quality assurance and coordination with stakeholder mainly with Architecture within the documentation and modelling process.
• Able to apply other drafting efficiency processes or workflows, i.e. using external add-ins or automation would be advantageous.

Nice-to-have abilities (software tools, soft skills)

• Understanding of Australian Standards, NCC requirements, and structural documentation conventions
• Ability to forecast documentation workloads and contribute to project planning
• Understanding with dynamo visual programming, C# and python.
• Familiar with 3rd party add-ins for drafting efficiency
• Knows how to operate Navisworks, Solibri or other clash detection software
