Job Description

We are seeking an Associate Designer with solid experience in workplace interior design and fit-out to manage and deliver design work across multiple projects. This role requires strong design capability, technical understanding, and coordination skills. You will be responsible for driving project deliverables, supporting business development efforts, and acting as the Design SPOC for assigned projects, all while ensuring alignment with timelines, budget, and global design standards.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Financial Contribution

  • Manage and execute project deliverables across concept, design development, and schematic stages.
  • Work with the Studio or Project Lead to define project schedules and deliverables and ensure adherence.
  • Collaborate on pitch proposals and design narratives with the business and global teams.
  • Assist in the preparation of cost proposals by aligning design and materials with budget requirements.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring material selections are cost-effective and aligned with the design intent.Ensure that all design outputs—including 3D visuals—align with project buildability and client expectations.

Stakeholder Management

Internal Stakeholders

  • Coordinate with the digital design team for the preparation of tender and GFC drawing sets.
  • Work closely with the project team to gather site data and project inputs.
  • Collaborate with MEP and specialist consultants throughout the design process.
  • Support Designers and Senior Designers by contributing to the delivery of studio-wide projects.

External Stakeholders

  • Act as the Design Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for 2–3 ongoing projects.
  • Manage weekly client and PMC meetings, presenting updates and addressing queries.
  • Provide design support for other ongoing projects as needed to meet studio delivery commitments.

Process & Organizational Development

  • Follow global design processes and standards (e.g., DX, room standardization).
  • Learn and work within new digital platforms like Saltmine for improved efficiency.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of your assigned projects—design, documentation, and client coordination.
  • Actively join studio learning sessions to grow your knowledge and stay aligned with best practices.

Collaborate with the wider team to support project success and foster a positive design culture.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in workplace interior design and fit-out.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Enscape and Adobe Creative Suite; Saltmine experience is a plus.
  • Strong design sensibility, with attention to detail and buildability and a solid portfolio of workplace projects.
  • Excellent understanding of color theory, material selection, and space planning principles.
  • Strong organizational, communication and presentation skills.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and eager to grow within a dynamic team environment.
