Role Overview

We're hiring a Revit Modeller responsible for producing accurate and construction-ready hydraulic and civil plumbing drawings using Autodesk Revit. This role focuses on converting 2D mark-ups into detailed 3D models, coordinating with other services, managing documentation, and supporting project workflows.

Revit experience is essential.

Note: This role does not include hydraulic design, sizing, or engineering calculations—its scope is purely BIM modelling, documentation, and coordination.

Key Responsibilities

1. Revit Modelling & 2D to 3D Conversion

• Convert consultant drawings, sketches, and mark-ups into detailed 3D Revit models
• Develop and maintain hydraulic and civil plumbing models across project stages
• Build Revit families, pipe networks, fixtures, and components
• Produce plans, elevations, sections, details, and construction-ready documentation

2. Coordination & Clash Detection

• Perform clash detection using Revit and Navisworks
• Overlay hydraulic and civil models with architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical services
• Flag coordination issues to engineers and update models based on feedback
• Apply revisions from consultants, site teams, and engineers

3. Documentation, Revisions & Control

• Maintain revision logs and drawing registers
• Manage document control in line with internal workflows
• Issue updated IFT/IFC drawing packages after receiving mark-ups
• Keep file structures organised within SharePoint, Teams, and internal systems

4. Quantity & Material Take-offs

• Generate Revit-based quantity schedules for fittings, pipework, and fixtures
• Support estimating and procurement teams with quantity extractions

5. Collaboration & Communication

• Coordinate daily with engineers, supervisors, and project managers via MS Teams/Zoom
• Request clarification on mark-ups or missing information
• Assist in preparing tender and bid drawing sets
• Report progress, risks, and delays proactively

Requirements

Technical Skills

• 3–5+ years of professional Revit experience (essential)
• Strong skills in 2D → 3D modelling and interpreting engineering mark-ups
• Experience with clash detection
• Background in producing hydraulic or civil building services documentation
• Familiarity with Australian standards, NCC, and plumbing documentation practices
• Navisworks experience an advantage
• AutoCAD experience desirable

Industry Experience

• Experience working with Australian or NZ construction, engineering, or building services firms
• Understanding of hydraulic and civil layouts used in Australian projects
