Supply Chain Manager

Job Summary
The Supply Chain Manager oversees the end-to-end supply chain operations of the bread manufacturing business. This includes procurement, inventory management, production planning, logistics, and supplier coordination. The role ensures efficient flow of raw materials and finished goods, cost-effective sourcing, and timely distribution while maintaining compliance with food safety and quality standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesPlanning & Procurement
- Forecast raw material requirements based on production plans and sales forecasts.
- Source and negotiate with reliable suppliers for flour, yeast, packaging, and other key ingredients.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of materials.
Production Coordination
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to align supply chain plans with daily and weekly production schedules.
- Ensure minimal downtime by maintaining optimum stock levels of ingredients and packaging materials.
- Address production delays caused by supply issues.
Inventory & Warehouse Management
- Oversee inventory control systems (FIFO/FEFO) for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
- Minimize waste, shrinkage, and expired goods, especially perishable items.
- Supervise warehouse operations to ensure cleanliness, organization, and food safety compliance.
Logistics & Distribution
- Plan and coordinate delivery routes to ensure timely delivery of fresh bread to distributors, retailers, and end-customers.
- Manage fleet efficiency and monitor transportation costs.
- Ensure compliance with cold chain or shelf-life requirements where applicable.
Cost & Process Optimization
- Analyze supply chain performance metrics and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce lead times, and cut costs.
- Work closely with finance to control budget and reduce procurement expenses.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure adherence to food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP) and documentation of traceability logs.
- Maintain supplier certifications and conduct periodic audits.
- Prepare reports on supply chain KPIs for management review.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain/logistics, preferably in food or bread manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, supplier management, and production planning.
- Proficiency in inventory and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
- Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.

Pay: Php45, Php50,000.00 per month
