Business Unit Manager

Why This Role Matters: As the Business Unit Manager of The Air Station Philippines (part of Easmed Group), focusing on our sleep product portfolio (CPAP, BiPAP, home sleep study etc), you will be a key leader in driving the growth and success of our business. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business unit, including P&L management, business development, product management, and operations. Your strategic leadership will help ensure that we meet our goals to expand our presence in the region, enhance customer satisfaction, and continue delivering innovative sleep devices that improve patient outcomes. What You Do:
- Lead and Manage the Business Unit: Oversee all aspects of the sleep portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, executing business plans, and tracking performance across the entire distribution network.
- Develop and Implement Strategy: Formulate and execute business strategies to drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share within the sleep device product line, aligning with the company's overall objectives.
- P&L Ownership: Take responsibility for the business unit's P&L, managing budgets, pricing strategies, expenses, and resource allocation to ensure financial goals are met.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a cross-functional team, including sales, marketing, and product management professionals. Foster alignment across teams to achieve business targets and exceed sales goals.
- Market and Business Intelligence: Conduct comprehensive market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation to identify opportunities and inform strategic decisions related to product distribution and marketing.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire product lifecycle for sleep devices, from launch to distribution and post-sale support. Collaborate with manufacturers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely product availability and market penetration.
- Sales and Financial Management: Develop and implement sales strategies and marketing initiatives to boost growth and achieve financial targets. Monitor performance, adjust plans as needed, and optimize budget usage across portfolios.
- Customer and Stakeholder Engagement: Build and nurture relationships with healthcare providers, distributors, and other stakeholders, ensuring high satisfaction levels, strong partnerships, and effective communication channels.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with business unit managers, regional teams, and corporate departments to ensure the alignment of strategies, streamline distribution channels, and optimize overall business performance.
- Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular business performance reports to senior management, offering actionable insights and recommendations to optimize sales strategies, product offerings, and operational efficiency.
Who You Are:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Biotechnology, Medical Science, Business, or a related discipline.
- Experience: At least 10 years in the medical device distribution industry, with 5+ years in senior management roles overseeing multiple product lines. Experience in sleep solutions or other related medical device portfolios is highly preferred.
- Leadership Skills: Proven track record in leading and motivating cross-functional teams, setting strategic direction, and ensuring alignment across sales, marketing, and product management functions.
- Financial and Business Acumen: Solid experience in P&L management, optimizing budgets, forecasting, cost management, and revenue generation within a distribution business model. Strong decision-making capabilities based on financial reports and market insights.
- Strategic Thinker: Ability to create long-term strategies while balancing immediate objectives. Strong understanding of how to drive growth within a diverse portfolio of distributed medical devices.
- Business Development: Expertise in identifying growth opportunities, expanding market presence, and driving sales through innovative distribution strategies, customer relationships, and market segmentation.
- Relationship Management: Skilled in managing relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, distributors, and suppliers, to ensure customer satisfaction and business growth.
- Analytical & Results-Driven: Strong analytical skills to assess market trends, track business performance, and derive actionable insights for continuous improvement. Proven success in exceeding business and financial goals.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly present business strategies, performance reports, and solutions to internal teams and external stakeholders.
