Job Summary:
The Chief Finance Officer (CFO) will provide strategic financial leadership to ensure sustainable growth and profitability for the company's construction and real estate operations. The CFO is responsible for overseeing financial planning, investment strategies, risk management, compliance with Philippine laws and taxation, and driving capital efficiency. The role demands strong leadership, deep knowledge of the local and regional property development market, and the ability to manage complex, multi-phase construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership
Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with overall business goals.
- Advise the CEO and board on long-term business and financial planning.
Evaluate financial performance of business units, project developments, and joint ventures.
Financial Management & Reporting
Oversee all financial operations including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
Budgeting & Cost Control
Lead the budgeting process across all departments and projects.
- Monitor project costing, cash disbursements, and ensure cost control measures are in place.
Review project feasibility studies and ROI projections.
Taxation & Compliance
Ensure full compliance with BIR, SEC, BOC, PEZA, and other government agencies.
- Oversee tax planning and preparation of tax returns.
Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.
Funding & Investment
Secure project financing, manage relationships with banks, investors, and financial institutions.
- Evaluate investment opportunities (e.g., land acquisition, development projects, REITs).
Monitor debt covenants and capital structure.
Risk Management
Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.
- Ensure adequate insurance and financial risk policies are in place.
Implement internal controls across departments and projects.
Leadership & Team Management
Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team.
- Drive system automation and ERP implementation for finance and project cost control.
- Promote a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field (required)
- CPA is required
- Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Finance is an advantage
Experience:
- At least 10+ years of progressive experience in finance, with 5+ years in a senior finance leadership role
- Preferably with experience in the construction, real estate development, or property management sector
- Strong experience in project financing, joint ventures, and land development
Technical Skills:
- Expert in Philippine taxation, BIR regulations, and compliance
- Strong command of PFRS, budgeting, project cost accounting, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks)
- Proficient in financial modeling and investment analysis
Leadership & Soft Skills:
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
- High integrity and ethical standards
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php150, Php180,000.00 per month
