Daily Responsibilities

  1. Lead Conversations on Discord


• Your primary responsibility is to maintain active conversations on Discord, primarily in the General channel, for 6 hours daily.


• Since Storychat's community is in its early stages, there might not be any conversations unless you actively initiate them. Avoid staying silent when the chat is inactive. Instead, keep trying to start discussions by:


• Tagging users you've previously engaged with using @username.


• Using the Reply function to respond to past messages (this triggers a notification and can encourage users to return).


• Starting natural conversations without excessive tagging, as some users might find frequent pings annoying.

  1. Welcome New Users


• Click on the Server Guide at the top of the channel list and navigate to the Welcome channel to identify new users who have joined.


• Greet new users with a warm message using @username and help them get acclimated. Ask if they've tried Storychat and if they have any feedback.

  1. Moderate the Community


• Remove malicious users, spammers, or inappropriate content. Start with a warning or mute for minor offenses and escalate to banning if issues persist.


• Document all disciplinary actions and prepare reports for submission.

  1. Engage with User-Generated Content


• For channels like Character-share, Story-share, Art, Meme, Pet, react with emojis and provide positive comments on user submissions. Showing appreciation for their creativity encourages them to remain active.

  1. Host Weekly Voice Channel Games


• Host a game session at least once a week in the Voice channel. You're free to choose the game type and format.


• Encourage user participation and reward top performers with Story Points (maximum of 500 Story Points per game).


• Plan a reward structure that keeps participants engaged and satisfied. Record winners and save screenshots for documentation.

End-of-Day Reporting

At the end of each workday, submit a Daily Report covering the following:

  1. User Activity Summary


• Provide a count of messages during your shift, highlight key discussion topics, and attach a screenshot of the dashboard from Statbot.


• Filter data to show activity by the hour and summarize the total number of messages during your working hours.

  1. Key Feedback


• Document any user suggestions related to app features, bugs, or improvements. Include the username and a clear summary of their feedback. Proactively ask users for feedback during your shift.

  1. Efforts to Maintain Active Conversations


• Share successful strategies or experiences that led to high engagement. For example, note topics that sparked interest or popular keywords that resonated with users.

  1. Discord Event Details


• For game days only, report on the number of participants, game type, rankings, and include screenshots.

  1. Additional Comments or Suggestions


• Add any extra observations or proposals you believe could improve the community or your workflow.

Once the report is complete, upload the link to a shared Google Spreadsheet.
