THE ROLE:

We're seeking a Sales Operations Lead to drive execution excellence across our lubricants distribution network. This is a field-intensive, player-coach role - you'll spend 80% of your time personally conducting outlet audits, coaching our sales team through ride-alongs, and ensuring systematic execution.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Field Execution & Auditing (60%):

  • Personally visit commercial outlets per week (auto shops, motor shops, hardware stores, etc)
  • Conduct systematic audits: stock levels, pricing compliance, merchandising standards, competitive presence, receivables health
  • Document findings using our mobile tech platform
  • Identify and resolve execution gaps (out-of-stock, pricing errors, AR issues)
  • Ensure consistent brand presence and execution standards

Team Leadership & Coaching (30%):

  • Lead and coordinate existing sales agents (player-coach approach)
  • Weekly ride-alongs with each agent (coach in real-time, in the field)
  • Daily huddles on coverage plans and priorities
  • Foster accountability through visible, example-based leadership
  • Develop agents' skills through on-the-job coaching

Operations & Performance Management (10%):

  • Track and report KPIs: coverage rate, volume per outlet, AR aging, distribution points
  • Analyze route efficiency and optimize coverage plans
  • Coordinate with logistics on delivery and inventory
  • Weekly performance reporting to General Manager
  • Identify systematic issues and recommend process improvements

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

Must-Haves:

  • Experience in FMCG, retail distribution, or petroleum sales/operations experience
  • Recent field experience (you were personally visiting outlets in last 1-2 years)
  • Track record of hands-on execution (not just managing from desk)
  • Comfortable with technology
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Davao City

Ideal Background:

  • Sales, FMCG trade execution, merchandising, or sales operations roles (Coca-Cola, Nestle, Unilever, San Miguel)
  • Petroleum/lubricants industry experience
  • Player-coach roles where you executed AND coached simultaneously
  • Route planning and territory optimization experience
  • Background in both sales AND operations (not just one or the other)
