About the role

Edisons Group of Companies Inc. is seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our dynamic finance team in Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations and providing strategic financial guidance to the organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Supervising and mentoring the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Preparing and analysing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to support business decision-making
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies
  • Implementing efficient accounting processes and controls to improve financial operations
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and recommendations
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing solutions
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in financial accounting and reporting

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the accounting field
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and developing an accounting team
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations
  • Proficient in using financial software and data analysis tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is preferred
