The Accounting Staff is responsible for accurately recording, monitoring, and reporting financial transactions of the company, ensuring compliance with insurance regulations, internal policies, and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record, verify, and reconcile premium collections, claims disbursements, commissions, and reinsurance transactions.
  • Prepare journal entries, general ledger postings, and monthly account reconciliations.
  • Monitor accounts receivable from agents, brokers, and reinsurers; follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Process and verify claims payments and related expenses in coordination with the claims department.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and expense monitoring activities.
  • Maintain organized accounting records and ensure timely archiving of supporting documents.
  • Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary schedules and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and insurance-specific guidelines.
  • Perform other finance-related tasks as may be assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or related field
  • Preferably with experience in insurance accounting or financial services
