Core Responsibilities of an HR Recruiter

  • Design and Update Job Descriptions Collaborate with hiring managers to create clear, accurate, and engaging job postings tailored to each role.
  • Source Candidates Use job boards, social media, professional platforms (like LinkedIn, StackOverflow, Behance), and internal databases to find qualified applicants.
  • Craft Outreach Messages Write personalized recruiting emails to attract passive candidates and build interest in open roles.
  • Screen Applications Review resumes and application forms to shortlist candidates based on qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.
  • Conduct Interviews Perform initial interviews via phone, video, or in-person using structured or behavioral formats.
  • Coordinate Hiring Process Work closely with hiring managers to schedule interviews, facilitate assessments, and manage feedback loops.
  • Perform Background and Reference Checks Ensure candidates meet company standards and verify their credentials before final selection.
  • Manage Recruitment Database Keep candidate records organized and up-to-date in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Support Employer Branding Participate in job fairs, host recruitment events, and promote the company's image to attract top talent.
