QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Vocational or Technical Certificate in Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, or Electrical Technology (TESDA NC II / NC III

preferred).

  1. Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in HVAC servicing, control systems, or diagnostics (VRF/VRV systems experience IS

A MUST).

  1. Proficient in electrical and control circuit reading (schematic interpretation)

  2. Skilled in troubleshooting electronic and mechanical faults

  3. Knowledge in BMS, inverter systems, and refrigerant cycle fundamentals

  4. Familiar with testing instruments and diagnostic tools

  5. Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and safety awareness

JOB OBJECTIVE:

The HVAC Control & Diagnostics Service Technician is responsible for conducting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and diagnostic testing of HVAC systems, focusing on control systems, electrical components, and performance optimization. The role ensures all air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation (ACMV) systems operate efficiently, safely, and in accordance with manufacturer specifications and Engineering Services quality standards.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. System Diagnostics & Troubleshooting


• Perform system diagnostics and identify issues related to electrical controls, sensors, relays, thermostats, and

communication modules.


• Troubleshoot faults on VRF/VRV systems, split-type, package-type, and other applicable AC systems.


• Utilize diagnostic tools (e.g., manifold gauge, clamp meter, pressure tester, recovery machine) to measure

and interpret system performance data.


• Rectify control errors, wiring faults, and component failures in coordination with senior technicians or

engineers.

  1. HVAC Control Systems


• Conduct testing, calibration, and adjustment of control panels, timers, and thermostatic devices.


• Support integration and testing of Building Management System (BMS) or stand-alone HVAC controllers.


• Verify operation of sensors, actuators, and communication between indoor and outdoor units.


• Recommend corrective or preventive actions for any irregular readings or programming issues.

  1. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance


• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance in accordance with standard maintenance procedures and client approved

schedules.


• Perform cleaning, system recharging, leak testing, and calibration of equipment components.


• Document findings, performed tasks, and materials used after each service.


• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety and environmental regulations (e.g., refrigerant

handling and disposal).

  1. Quality Assurance & Reporting


• Support the QA Inspector or Field Auditor by providing accurate on-site diagnostics reports and feedback.


• Maintain records of service logs, performance readings, and corrective actions done.


• Report recurring technical issues or abnormal system patterns to the Operations Head for review and solution

development.

  1. Coordination & Technical Support


• Coordinate with the Admin and Operations teams regarding work schedules, site access, and client requests.


• Assist engineers during system commissioning, start-up, and performance testing.


• Provide field technical support to other ES teams for complex troubleshooting.


• Participate in on-site training and continuous improvement programs.
