HVAC Engineer

JLL – HVAC Engineer Location: Taguig, National Capital Region, Philippines Will serve as the Technical Services contact for all HVAC related issues and concerns for all PH. This position is proactive and focused on ensuring the functionality of the workplace, enabling occupants and guests to experience reliable HVAC performance while maintaining safe working practices. Key Responsibilities Resolve technical problems in a timely manner to enhance Occupant Experience. Manage the planning and implementation of the Preventive Maintenance Program for all HVAC equipment, including landlord‑owned systems. Draft the preventive maintenance scope of work for HVAC and monitor status of all planned/corrective maintenance. Track issues and ensure timely closure, developing process improvements to prevent equipment downtime and zero water leaks. Review and approve methodologies for corrective maintenance to ensure problems are addressed and risks are managed. Work closely with the Site Technical Services Team for tracking and closing all HVAC related concerns. Analyze HVAC related tickets (e.g., hot/cold complaints) and prepare mitigating actions. Update temperature mapping to determine proper offset values versus BMS readings periodically. Escalate technical issues when required. Commit to delivering the best level of service through attention to detail and continuous improvement. Assist with strategic plans, budgets, and client reports, including financial reconciliation for service contract accounts. Maintain operational and technical requirements of the site, ensuring current contracts provide necessary supplies and services. Implement and manage the change control process. Resolve problems and improve operations. Client/Stakeholder Management Comply with all client contract requirements and meet or exceed Key Performance Indicators. Deliver exceptional service quality reflected in client feedback. Communicate effectively with clients and vendors at all levels to create customer delight. Coordinate with related parties for timely delivery of all services. Operations Management Manage, review, and execute all Engineering/Technical Service contracts, including inspections and quality management. Develop and implement building procedures and effective measures to ensure process simplification and system reliability. Ensure adequate supply of materials and services, entering supply contracts as approved by the client. Prepare tender documentation, evaluate tenders, and draft contracting agreements. Implement risk and safety practices to mitigate service interruption risks. Coordinate with Building Managers and Business Units on project issues. Develop innovative programs to reduce utility costs and increase productivity and savings. Coordinate with building operation teams to maintain best maintenance standards. Manage a program of inspections for energy conservation, maintenance, utility, and risk management. Implement and oversee pre‑emptive maintenance to reduce critical equipment failures. Conduct regular audits to ensure SOP compliance by FM staff. Contribute to the monthly management report. Coach and mentor subordinates, guiding developmental plans and performance reviews. Maintain safety procedures, including crisis management and emergency protocols. Ensure compliance with fire, health, and safety regulations. Require health and safety induction for service delivery teams and contractors. Prepare risk assessments for self-delivery and respond to critical out‑of‑hours issues. Coordinate and oversee vendors to ensure service delivery meets SLAs and KPIs. Escalate recurring problems and solutions to the Workplace Experience City Lead when necessary. Adopt a cost‑saving mindset to drive value across all service levels. Conduct data analysis reports as needed. Ensure presence at client offices and mobile availability across sites. Candidate Specification: Key Selection Criteria Ideal Experience Licensed Mechanical Engineer with 1‑2 years of experience. Experience with various air conditioning systems (e.g., Water Cooled Chiller, VRF, DX). Testing and commissioning of HVAC systems. Strong problem‑solving and root cause analysis skills. Experience in BPO/Data Center environments with critical equipment (UPS, PACU, BMS). Excellent verbal and written communication. Strong PC literacy and ability to use BMS and other monitoring systems. Effective communication with all levels of personnel. Knowledge of occupational safety requirements. Experience in fit‑out, testing, commissioning, and handover. 5.5 working days per week.
