Business Development Officer

JOB SUMMARY
The Business Development Officer role aims to acquire and convert new VIP players by developing and implementing sales strategies targeting potential players, delivering the sales pitch to potential players, and coordinating ocular inspections/first visits of new VIP players. The Business Development Officer will also be responsible for creating and advising the Host Operations team of the players' profile and preferences, as well as reviewing and approving player entitlements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review business development requirements and available VIP programs and/products.
- Develop and implement sales action plans specific to the assigned region/target market.
- Report and review sales performance and recommend revisions to strategies or objectives when necessary
- Organize marketing trips and collect VIP marketing contacts
- Build and manage relationships with junket groups and other related alliances
- Meet with potential VIP players and deliver the sales pitch
- Acquire new VIP players through sign-ups and coordinate requirements for new players' first visit
- Convert players by coordinating house program enrollments at the property
- Create VIP player profiles and communicate player preferences to VIP Concierge Services
- Prep the VIP team for new VIP players' ocular/first visit
- Facilitate new player onboarding and introduce new VIP players to VIP Concierge Services
- Review and approve VIP player entitlements as necessary
- Consistently act in line with organization values
- Cascade department KPIs and monitor achievement of targets
QUALIFICATIONS
- Candidate must have completed at least two (2) years in College
- Previous experience in a similar job is an advantage
- Experience in sales, marketing, prospecting and lead generation
- Experience in project management is an advantage
- Good written and verbal English communication skills. Proficiency in Mandarin, Korean, and/or Japanese is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills
- Basic PC operational skills and knowledge in office applications such as GSuite, Google Sheets, etc.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Sales and negotiation skills
- Organized and has great attention to details
- Must be willing to travel to conferences, seminars and client locations
- Can work in a crowded indoor area with second-hand smoke and high noise levels
- Can work on rotational shifts, graveyard, odd hours, weekends, and especially holidays
- Capable of handling difficult or demanding guests/players and different types of individuals
