This role provides essential administrative and communication support to a senior wildlife conservation expert. The Administrative Assistant will facilitate communication between the Lead Researcher, the Project Manager, and Senior Leadership, while also helping to document and preserve the extensive knowledge and data associated with the project and the species. This position is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and a passion for conservation.

JOB LOCATION: FUJAIRAH, UAE

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree, Diploma, or higher in Administration, Environmental Studies, Animal Management, or a related field - Mandatory.
  • Driving license - Mandatory.
  • Administrative assistant / Business Administration (similar and/or equivalent) degree, courses, certification - highly desirable.
  • Certification in Animal Care, Veterinary Assistance, or related fields is a plus.
  • Fluency in Russian and English (spoken and written) is required to support communication with team members.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an administrative or support role.
  • Experience in a veterinary clinic, animal shelter, pet shop, or related fields is desirable.
  • Previous junior leadership experience is a plus.

JOB SKILLS

  • Managing the Lead Researcher's calendar, appointments, and meeting logistics.
  • Preparing and organising documents, notes, and correspondence in both Russian and English.
  • Assisting with travel arrangements and field visit coordination.
  • Maintaining organised records of meetings, communications, and project materials.
  • Translating verbal and written communications between Russian and English as required.
  • Facilitating clear communication between the Lead Researcher, Project Manager, and Senior Leadership.
  • Drafting bilingual summaries, memos, and updates for internal use.
  • Entering, formatting, recording, transcribing, and organising data as well as the Lead Researcher's insights, field notes, and historical knowledge.
  • Digitising and archiving materials for future reference and institutional memory.
  • Supporting stakeholders in coordinating timelines and deliverables.
  • Liaising with internal departments for administrative needs related to the researcher's work.
