About the role

Master Garage Philippines, a leading name in the automotive repair and service industry, is seeking a competent and detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and supporting the company's continued growth.

We are looking for an experienced professional with a solid background in accounting and financial management—someone who goes beyond entry-level tasks and can provide valuable insights to management. Prior experience in the automotive, service, or related industries is a strong advantage.

What you'll be doing

  1. Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
  2. Maintain accurate accounting records, including general ledger accounts, accounts payable and receivable
  3. Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts on a regular basis
  4. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling to support business planning and decision-making
  5. Collaborate with the management team to provide financial insights and recommendations
  6. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies
  7. Contribute to the development and improvement of financial processes and controls
  8. Provide support to the broader finance and operations teams as needed

What we're looking for

  1. Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle). - Strong Excel skills for financial modeling and data analysis.
  2. Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret and analyze financial data and reports. - Strong attention to detail for accuracy in financial records.
  3. Communication Skills: Ability to clearly explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders. - Good written communication for reports and formal documents.
  4. Problem-Solving Skills: Aptitude for developing solutions for financial discrepancies or inefficiencies.
  5. Organizational Skills: Capability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  6. Ethics and Integrity: Honesty and ethical behavior in handling financial information.
  7. Soft Skills: Teamwork and collaboration, especially if working in a department or with cross-functional teams. - Time management to meet tight deadlines, particularly during tax season or year-end close.
  8. Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of accounting principles such as GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) or IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), depending on the location and industry.
