Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Reporting:

  • Supervise daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis.

Compliance & Audit:

  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and government reporting requirements (BIR, SEC, etc.).
  • Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit requirements.
  • Maintain proper documentation and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure audit readiness.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, train, and supervise accounting staff to ensure high performance and continuous development.
  • Monitor workload distribution and ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Provide guidance on accounting issues and process improvements.

Process Improvement:

  • Recommend and implement improvements to financial systems, workflows, and internal controls.
  • Support digitalization and automation initiatives within the accounting department.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of progressive experience in accounting, with 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine financial reporting standards and tax regulations.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP) and MS Excel.
  • High attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
