The Junior Accountant is responsible for assisting in the preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, payroll, tax filing, and compliance activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This role supports both the firm and its clients in maintaining organized financial records and compliance with Philippine Accounting Standards and regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and financial statements.
  • Handle bookkeeping tasks, including accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Assist in tax preparation, filing, and compliance with BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG requirements.
  • Support payroll preparation and related government contributions.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and assist in monthly/quarterly financial reporting.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records for both the firm and its clients.
  • Provide support to senior accountants during audits and other engagements.
  • Carry out other administrative and accounting-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of BS Accountancy, BSBA Major in Accounting, or related field.
  • Preferably with 1–2 years of relevant experience (fresh graduates are welcome).
  • Knowledge of Philippine Accounting Standards (PAS), BIR compliance, and government remittances is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
