Senior Project Scheduler

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Project Scheduler to join our team. The Senior Project Scheduler will play a critical role in supporting the successful execution of projects by developing, maintaining, and monitoring detailed project schedules. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, proficiency in project management tools, and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams to ensure project timelines are met.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Construction Management / Business Administration, or related field.

Experience:

• 10+ years of experience in project scheduling, preferably within the engineering or construction industry.
• Experience with project scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, etc.).
• Experience in managing and scheduling multi-disciplinary engineering projects is highly desirable.

Technical Skills:

• Strong proficiency in scheduling software (Primavera P6 & Microsoft Project).
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with project management tools and software, such as Procore, Smartsheet, or similar.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning and scheduling activity for the on-going projects.
• Develop Project Schedules: Create, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera (P6), or similar).
• Generates the Master Deliverable Schedule highlighting milestone dates, interface items, risks, floats, critical path items, and decision points, including engineering, procurement, project, and closeout items.
• Initiates, leads, strategizes, and formulates the framework for Project-specific planning and scheduling management system.
• Identifies the responsible personnel-in-charge for each work item or group of tasks, among stakeholders, and/or the management (e.g. project management, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, logistic, site services etc.)
• Leads collaboration and planning huddles between concerned technical and non-technical disciplines, stakeholders, and/or the management, and facilitates fast-tracking of their respective deliverables.
• Regularly runs simulations and analytical tools/functions to be able to spot impacts and options developing from critical path items, constraints, and risks, so that these are flagged timely and optimally.
• Identifies and recommends options for consideration and collaboration from a given set of constraints and risk items.
• Updates construction and project status, schedules, progress, and S-curves, and regularly confers with the supervisor, relevant personnel, and the management.
• Prepares manpower loading requirements based on project schedule, and generating histograms, trackers, and forecasting out of it.
• Prepares relevant reporting materials suitable for all audiences, from the supervisors up to the management and stakeholders.
• Continuously exploring and developing innovative ideas with respect to planning and scheduling.
• Optimizes the capability of available software, data management, and communication systems such as MS Teams to improve the current systems regarding suitability, effectiveness, and efficiency.
• Assists on-boarding of new employees by facilitating training relating to project scheduling processes and other topics that are relevant to the level and role of the new employee.
• Supports the development of Quality Management Procedures in support of standardization of optimum practices.
• Work with the Project Managers, Engineering Head, and other team members for planning and scheduling support.
• Prepare/update the project schedule for the PMs.
• Prepare the weekly/monthly reports for Project Managers and Head of Projects.
• Support the tender team for the planning/scheduling (for the preliminary L1 schedule) work.
• Travelling to other BWW offices or project sites for planning and scheduling supports as and when required.
• Adheres to company regulations, quality programs, values, and standard practices.
• Ensure all the work tasks is following the requirement as mentioned in the QMS system.
• Any tasks related to planning and scheduling work assigned by the Superior from time to time.
