The Purchasing / Merchandising Staff is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and maintaining product assortments that meet customer needs and company standards. This role involves analyzing sales data, coordinating with suppliers, ensuring timely procurement, and supporting product display or planogram updates. It requires strong analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills to maintain product availability, quality, and competitiveness in the market.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities.

I. PRODUCT AND SOURCING MANAGEMENT

A. Product Analysis

  • Monitor sales performance and identify the bottom 10 least saleable items weekly.
  • Propose and seek approval for product replacements during weekly meetings.
  • Coordinate the phase-out of approved items and ensure timely introduction of new or replacement products.

B. Sourcing and Procurement

  • Source new merchandise from reputable suppliers based on market trends and customer demand.
  • Process purchase requests and corporate orders to ensure prompt delivery to clients.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost efficiency.
  • Maintain updated supplier and product records, including pricing and availability.
  • Ensure all sourcing and purchasing activities align with company policies and timelines.

II. PLANOGRAM AND PRODUCT DISPLAY SUPPORT

  • Maintain the initial planogram for deployment and ensure accurate product placement.
  • Implement a flexible planogram for machines or locations with dynamic product performance.
  • Conduct a 30-day trial period for new planograms and adjust based on sales results.
  • Rotate the bottom 10 products regularly to test and introduce new items for improved sales performance.

III. CUSTOMER SERVICE COORDINATION

  • Coordinate with regional customer service representatives regarding product-related client concerns.
  • Ensure representatives are available during office hours (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM).
  • Support the resolution of refund or replacement requests within 24 hours.
  • Provide clients with the refund request form link for refund concerns.
  • Log and monitor all concerns using the company's Google Drive tracking system.
