Job Summary
The F&B Associate or Restaurant Service Representative plays a vital role in providing guests with an exceptional dining experience. This position embodies the spirit of fine dining — delivering attentive, professional, and personalized service while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality and presentation.
Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Service
- Warmly welcome and seat guests in accordance with fine dining standards.
- Present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions about food and beverages.
- Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure accurate and timely service.
- Maintain attentiveness to guests' needs throughout their dining experience.
- Ensure tables and dining areas are properly set up and maintained at all times.
Service Excellence
- Execute fine dining service techniques, including proper order taking, serving, and clearing.
- Anticipate guest needs and provide personalized recommendations.
- Uphold the restaurant's standards for cleanliness, grooming, and etiquette.
- Handle guest feedback or concerns professionally and promptly escalate when needed.
Teamwork & Support
- Collaborate closely with fellow associates, kitchen staff, and supervisors for smooth service flow.
- Assist in setting up private events, functions, or special dining arrangements.
- Participate in pre-shift briefings and training sessions to maintain consistent service quality.
- Contribute to maintaining a positive, respectful, and guest-centered work environment.
Qualifications
- Preferably a graduate of Hospitality Management, Tourism, or related field (not required but an advantage).
- With previous experience in fine dining, hotel, or upscale restaurant service is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Pleasant, well-groomed, and confident in guest interactions.
- Knowledge of food service etiquette and basic wine service preferred.
- Willing to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays.
