Job Summary:
The Vice President of Sales and Marketing is responsible for leading the overall sales and marketing strategy of the organization to drive business growth, increase market share, and achieve revenue targets. This role requires a strong blend of leadership, strategic thinking, and execution across both sales and marketing functions.
Key Responsibilities:Strategic Planning & Leadership:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies aligned with company goals.
- Set short- and long-term sales and marketing objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Lead and mentor the sales and marketing teams to ensure alignment and performance.
- Collaborate with the executive team on overall business strategy.
Sales Management:
- Drive business development and client acquisition efforts.
- Analyze sales metrics and performance, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners.
- Oversee pricing, contracts, and negotiations in coordination with Finance and Legal.
Marketing Management:
- Lead brand development, advertising, and promotional activities.
- Oversee digital marketing, content development, and social media strategies.
- Conduct market analysis and competitive research to inform campaigns.
- Ensure consistent messaging and brand integrity across all channels.
Team Development:
- Hire, train, and develop high-performing sales and marketing professionals.
- Foster a results-driven, collaborative, and customer-centric culture.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback.
Budgeting and Reporting:
- Develop and manage the department's budget, ensuring cost-efficiency.
- Report regularly on sales forecasts, marketing performance, and ROI.
- Present strategic updates and results to the executive leadership team and board.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in sales and/or marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in leading teams to exceed sales targets and executing successful marketing strategies.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics, customer behavior, and digital trends.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
