  • Responsible for the compliance of rules and regulations of Philippine Government in Environment, Health and Safety. These rules and regulations include but not limited to the regulations of the of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), and the Philippine National Police (PNP).
  • Advise management on the following:
  • Legal and contractual requirements affecting safety, health and environment.
  • Potential hazards before work starts.
  • Provision and use of personal protective equipment.
  • Ways to improve work method.
  • Determine the cause of any accident and recommend measures to prevent recurrence of the same.
  • Record to analyze and collect data on injuries, damage to property and assess accidents trends to determine overall safety performance.
  • Develop employee safety education program.
  • Conduct lectures, seminars and other means of promoting health and safety awareness among employees.
  • Act as Secretary of the environmental, Safety and Health Committee.
  • Inspect workplace, investigates all accidents and correct unsafe conditions and practices.
  • Identify Health Hazards; Physical, Biological, Chemical, and Ergonomics.
  • Responsible for handling, storage and disposal of hazardous and other industrial waste.
  • Ensures that observed/ reported violations are given appropriate and prompt corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular Safety inspection of plant facilities, building and ground and Life Safety System.
  • Prepares an incident report on major accidents causing disabling injuries and major Company property damages.
  • Renders First Aid treatment and Emergency care in occurrence of accidents and Medical Emergencies.
  • Manage and monitor the development and implementation of safety and Security policy, standards, guidelines and procedures to ensure maintenance of safety in the Organization.
  • To help to promote an enthusiastic, positive and professional atmosphere within the Environmental Protection & Housing Standards Team and to help to provide a customer and stakeholder focused approach.
  • Follow company quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Perform such other duties and functions as maybe required by the General Manager/President from time to time within the bounds of the company policy.
