About the role

As a Safety Officer 2 at Stage Riggers Inc., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our construction projects in Silang Cavite. This full-time position is responsible for implementing and monitoring safety protocols, identifying and mitigating risks, and fostering a culture of safety within the organisation.

What you'll be doing

  1. Conducting regular safety inspections and audits to identify and address potential hazards
  2. Developing, implementing, and maintaining safety policies, procedures, and training programs
  3. Investigating and reporting on incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and implementing corrective actions
  4. Collaborating with project managers, site supervisors, and workers to ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
  5. Providing on-site safety guidance and support to workers, and promoting safe work practices
  6. Maintaining comprehensive records and documentation related to safety activities
  7. Staying up-to-date with industry best practices and regulations, and continuously improving safety protocols

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a safety officer or in a similar role within the construction industry
  2. Degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field
  3. Thorough knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and legislation
  4. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
  5. Strong organisational and time management abilities
  6. Proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks
  7. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with stakeholders
