General Accounting Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:Accounting & Financial Reporting:

  • Supervise day-to-day general accounting operations, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and ledger maintenance.
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Maintain accuracy and completeness of general ledger accounts.

Tax Compliance (Philippines):

  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of all BIR tax returns (e.g., VAT, Withholding Tax, Income Tax, Expanded Withholding Tax, Final Tax, etc.).
  • Monitor tax updates, rulings, and circulars issued by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and other regulatory bodies (SEC, PEZA, LGU, etc.).
  • Coordinate with third-party consultants or tax advisors as needed.
  • Assist in tax audits, BIR letters of authority (LOA), and compliance assessments.
  • Maintain proper documentation and archiving of all tax filings and supporting schedules.

Compliance & Controls:

  • Ensure compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and internal accounting policies.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing required schedules and addressing audit queries.
  • Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, assign tasks, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Provide training and support to team members on accounting standards and tax regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience,
