The Role in Action

We are seeking a Junior Procurement Specialist to support Starbond's global sourcing and supplier management operations. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, analytical professional who is eager to build a strong foundation in international procurement, supplier coordination, and supply chain operations.

Working closely with senior procurement and supply chain leaders, the Junior Procurement Specialist will assist in supplier communications, purchasing activities, data tracking, and operational coordination. This role offers hands-on exposure to global sourcing and provides clear opportunities for growth within Starbond's supply chain organization.


Responsibilities
  • Support supplier communications and assist in negotiations related to pricing, lead times, and order terms under guidance from senior team members.
  • Assist in executing procurement strategies to ensure cost efficiency, quality, and supply continuity.
  • Help identify, evaluate, and maintain supplier records based on quality, performance, and compliance requirements.
  • Manage purchase orders, requisitions, order confirmations, and basic invoice tracking.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with logistics and operations teams to support timely replenishment.
  • Assist with data collection and reporting related to supplier performance, pricing trends, and procurement KPIs.
  • Support compliance with trade regulations, customs documentation, and internal procurement standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (supply chain, logistics, quality control) to support production and operational goals.
  • Maintain organized procurement documentation and contribute to process improvements and standardization efforts.
  • Take on planning and coordination tasks that support overall supply chain efficiency.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, operations, or a related role (internships or entry-level experience accepted).
  • Basic understanding of procurement processes, supplier coordination, and purchase order management.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with global logistics concepts and cross-border shipping is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; experience with reporting or data visualization tools is an advantage.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working with international suppliers.
  • Eagerness to learn, adaptability, and openness to taking on increasing responsibility over time.
