Job Summary:

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services to meet the organization's operational requirements. This role ensures cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and adhering to company policies and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, service, and reliability.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements to ensure the best value for the company.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders, requisitions, and related documentation.
  • Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., Finance, Operations, and Inventory) to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Analyze market trends to identify new opportunities and cost-saving measures.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation for auditing and compliance purposes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement standards, and legal requirements.
  • Resolve supplier issues and discrepancies in invoices, deliveries, or payments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • At least 2–4 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as market analysis.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
