Takaful Marketing Officer

The Takaful Marketing Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and executing marketing strategies to promote Etiqa Philippines' Takaful products and services. The role focuses on increasing awareness, driving sales, and building strong relationships with customers, partners, and communities while ensuring alignment with Shariah principles and Etiqa's brand values.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development

  • Develop and implement strategies to expand the Takaful business portfolio and achieve revenue and market share targets.
  • Identify and establish partnerships with banks, brokers, cooperatives, microfinance institutions, and digital platforms for Takaful distribution.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities, customer needs, and competitor activities to refine product positioning.
  • Collaborate with Product Development, Marketing, and Operations teams to design, price, and launch innovative Takaful solutions (General, Family, MicroTakaful).
  • Lead client presentations, negotiations, and relationship management with key stakeholders and partners.
  • Track performance of Takaful products and distribution channels, ensuring alignment with KPIs and corporate strategy.

Shariah Compliance & Advisory

  • Serve as the in-house Shariah Expert Officer ensuring Takaful products, contracts, and operations comply with Shariah principles and Insurance Commission regulations.
  • Liaise with the Shariah Advisory Council (SAC) and external Shariah consultants for product approvals, fatwas, and compliance reviews.
  • Provide training and awareness sessions on Takaful and Shariah principles to staff, distributors, and partners.
  • Monitor investment activities of the Takaful funds to ensure adherence to Shariah-compliant guidelines.
  • Review and validate marketing materials, contracts, and communication to ensure Shariah alignment.
  • Assist in regulatory compliance reporting related to Shariah governance and coordinate with the Insurance Commission and other regulators.
