Job Description:

The Assistant Production Planner will support the production planning process by ensuring that materials and inventory levels are appropriately managed, deliveries are timely, and orders are accurately tracked. This role involves a combination of clerical, logistical, and operational tasks to maintain smooth and efficient production workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate PO Requests:

o Coordinate purchase order (PO) requests from sales and production teams to ensure material availability and production efficiency.

2. Monitor Shipment Schedules:

o Track and monitor the shipment schedule for raw materials to ensure timely deliveries to production.

3. Inventory Monitoring and Replenishment:

o Track inventory levels regularly to ensure adequate stock for production needs.

o Place orders as needed to avoid stockouts or overstocking.

o Generate and process replenishment orders to maintain inventory balance.

4. Clerical Support:

o Assist with basic clerical tasks, including creating purchase requests and system encoding of items.

o Assist with tracking purchase order items and coordinating transfers within the inventory system.

5. Receiving and Warehouse Coordination (if applicable):

o Support receiving duties, ensuring that goods and materials are checked against orders and promptly stored.

o Assist with managing warehouse duties to ensure materials are stored properly for easy retrieval.

6. Receipt and Delivery Coordination:

o Track and coordinate the timely receipt, storage, and delivery of goods and materials to production lines.

o Ensure that all deliveries are accurately scheduled and documented to avoid delays in production.

7. Order and Inventory Accuracy Checks:

o Verify the accuracy of orders, items received, and inventory records.

o Ensure that all deliveries match the requested quantities, specifications, and delivery schedules.

Job Type: Fixed term

Contract length: 5 months
