What you'll be doing

  • Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and repair of the hotel's electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems
  • Implement preventive maintenance programmes to proactively identify and address potential issues
  • Monitor building systems performance and make adjustments to optimise energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Liaise with external contractors and vendors to coordinate maintenance, repairs, and upgrades
  • Ensure the hotel's facilities comply with all relevant safety, health, and environmental regulations
  • Provide technical support and training to hotel staff on the proper use and maintenance of building systems
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inventory, and equipment performance

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in building operations and maintenance, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Preferably Electo-Mechanical Engineer, willing to do nigh shifts
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems
  • Proficient in using building management software and computerized maintenance systems
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with hotel staff and external vendors
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Commitment to promoting sustainability and energy-efficient practices
