About the role

Global Solutions Corporation, the Property Management arm of Taft Property Venture Development Corp. is seeking a talented and experienced Building Engineer to join our team in Lapu-lapu City, Cebu. This full-time role is integral to the success of our building services engineering operations, playing a key part in ensuring the efficient and sustainable functioning of our properties.

What you'll be doing

  • Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety equipment
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues, implement corrective actions, and coordinate repairs with external vendors as needed
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programmes to prolong the lifespan of building assets
  • Monitor and analyse building performance data to identify opportunities for optimisation and improved energy efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards
  • Collaborate with the property management team to address tenant concerns and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Provide training and supervision to building maintenance staff to uphold best practices
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and technologies to recommend innovative solutions that enhance building operations

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Building Engineer or in a similar role within the building services industry
  • Extensive knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems, as well as their maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Proficient in interpreting and applying building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to optimise building performance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with diverse stakeholders
  • Proactive, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning and improvement
