Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Sales Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement channel-specific sales strategies for Modern Trade (MT) and General Trade (GT).
  • Identify market opportunities, target accounts, and growth areas.
  • Set national, regional, and channel-specific sales targets.

2. Team Leadership & Management

  • Lead, mentor, and manage MT and GT sales teams across regions.
  • Monitor KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and provide coaching.
  • Recruit, train, and retain top sales talent.

3. Client & Key Account Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with MT retailers, GT distributors, and key consumers.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, promotions, and partnership deals.
  • Address escalated client or consumer issues to ensure satisfaction.

4. Sales Operations & Reporting

  • Track channel performance, pipeline, and forecasts.
  • Prepare reports on sales trends, revenue, and channel-specific insights.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Trade, Supply Chain, and Customer Service for promotions, stock availability, and order fulfillment.

5. Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new opportunities in MT and GT channels.
  • Expand market coverage, increase brand presence, and drive consumer growth.
  • Implement initiatives to boost revenue and market share across channels.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Experience: 7–10 years in FMCG sales with experience in MT & GT channels, including 3+ years in a managerial role.
  • Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and strategic planning abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to drive results across multiple channels.
  • In-depth knowledge of Modern Trade, General Trade, and consumer behavior.
  • Ability to work in a competitive, fast-paced FMCG environment.
