National Sales Manager

Responsible for leading nationwide sales efforts to achieve monthly and annual revenue targets across all assigned therapeutic portfolios. This role ensures the effective implementation of sales and marketing strategies, strengthens customer relationships, and drives product visibility and profitability through a capable and motivated sales force. The position reports to the Managing Director and plays a critical role in aligning field operations with the overall business goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement national sales strategies to achieve revenue objectives across all product lines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, etc.) to support brand campaigns and optimize field execution.
- Lead, coach, and manage the performance of Regional and District Sales Managers and their teams to deliver high-impact results.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams of at least 5-10 people is required.
- Monitor sales performance, customer engagement, and market trends to inform tactical adjustments and resource allocation.
- Provide clear and actionable sales forecasts and inventory plans to support operational and financial objectives.
- Maintain and build strong relationships with key accounts, healthcare professionals, and institutional stakeholders.
- Oversee sales training, coaching, and capability building to ensure the team's continuous development.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards across all sales activities.
- Support the leadership team with regular reports, strategic insights, and on-ground feedback from the field.
STRATEGIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Contribute to company-wide strategic planning through data-driven insights from the field.
- Lead annual sales planning, budgeting, and performance reviews for the national team.
- Champion a results-oriented and values-driven culture across the sales force.
- Align field force deployment with growth opportunities and market realities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, or any related field; MBA is a plus.
- At least 8–10 years of progressive pharmaceutical sales experience, with 3–5 years in a senior or national leadership capacity.
- Strong background in sales team leadership, product launch, and key account management.
- Proven ability to build and execute sales strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
