Job Description

Summary

As a Data Specialist, you will provide services to an Upwork Managed Services client who is a global leader in the power technologies industry. You will play a critical role in managing the full lifecycle of data, ranging from collection and validation to visualization and strategic analysis. This position requires working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, usability, and accessibility, while also driving process optimization and automation.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about turning numbers into insights that guide smarter business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Collect, clean, validate, and secure data from various sources

Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and Excel reports

Consolidate and transform datasets using Power Query

Standardize data collection templates and ensure semantic consistency

Implement governance practices and manage access controls

Document processes and support compliance with data standards

Analyze trends and generate insights for strategic planning

Collaborate with teams like Legal, CGR, Sustainability, and Government Relations

Identify inefficiencies and automate data workflows

Support SharePoint and Power Apps workflows related to data handling

Qualifications

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data cleaning, validation, analysis)

Experience with Power BI (Desktop, Service, DAX) for dashboard creation and data modeling

Familiarity with Power Query for data transformation and consolidation

Knowledge of SharePoint Lists and Microsoft Forms for structured data collection and storage

Analytical mindset with attention to detail and data accuracy

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Skills

Experience with Power Apps and Power Automate for workflow automation.

Exposure to compliance or data governance practices.

Ability to document and streamline processes.

Additional Information

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 11 AM – 8 PM (Philippines time).

Up to 20 hours per week.
