Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing ingredients (chopping, marinating, portioning, etc.) for daily menu items.
- Cook and plate dishes according to restaurant recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, tools, and equipment.
- Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures at all times.
- Support senior chefs during busy service hours by preparing mise en place and handling assigned stations.
- Monitor stock levels and inform supervisors of shortages or issues.
- Ensure all kitchen operations comply with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Participate in kitchen briefings and training to improve skills and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or holder of a culinary arts or hospitality-related certificate.
- Prior kitchen experience in a restaurant is an advantage but not required.
- Basic knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen tools, and food safety standards.
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Physically fit and available for flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
