About the Role

We are looking for an experienced QA Engineering Manager based in the Philippines to lead our growing quality assurance team supporting a US-based organization.

This role is ideal for a senior QA professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for driving software quality at scale. You will oversee the entire QA process — from strategy and planning to execution and automation — ensuring that all releases meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and reliability.

You'll collaborate closely with engineering, product, and project management teams to maintain seamless delivery and continuous improvement in our development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA engineers (manual and automation).

· Define and implement QA strategies, standards, and best practices across projects.

· Oversee the design, development, and execution of test plans and test automation frameworks.

· Ensure timely delivery of high-quality releases through rigorous testing and quality control.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Product, DevOps) to integrate QA into the development pipeline.

· Analyze test results, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.

· Manage defect tracking, prioritization, and resolution with engineering leads.

· Develop and monitor QA metrics, dashboards, and performance indicators.

· Drive initiatives for continuous improvement in QA efficiency, automation coverage, and test environments.

· Stay current with emerging QA tools, technologies, and methodologies.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

· 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.

· Proven experience building and managing QA teams in an Agile or DevOps environment.

· Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, test design techniques, and automation strategies.

· Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.

· Familiarity with API and performance testing tools (e.g., Postman, JMeter).

· Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git).

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

· Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

· Comfortable working within US time zones and collaborating with distributed teams.

Preferred Skills

· Experience working with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

· Familiarity with mobile testing frameworks (Appium, Espresso, XCUITest).

· ISTQB, CSTE, or equivalent QA certification.

· Experience in a SaaS or enterprise product environment.
