Job Summary:

The R&D Associate plays a key role in assisting the CEO in identifying, developing, and implementing new systems, solutions, and opportunities for AJL Construction Corporation. This role bridges innovation and operations, supporting company growth through structured research, process improvements, and the testing of new products, technologies, and business models.

About the Role

We are looking for a Research & Development (R&D) Associate to directly assist the CEO in exploring new technologies, systems, and solutions that drive innovation across the company.

This is a strategic and hands-on position — ideal for someone who loves research, process improvement, and working closely with leadership to turn ideas into action.

You will help identify inefficiencies, test new processes, and support executive initiatives related to operations, construction systems, and internal workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct market and technical research on construction innovations, sustainable materials, and cost-efficient systems.
  • Support the CEO in day-to-day project tracking, internal coordination, and documentation of R&D initiatives.
  • Prepare reports, feasibility studies, and presentations for management and board meetings.
  • Collaborate with HR, Accounting, and Site Engineers to gather data and validate field-based insights.
  • Develop and monitor prototype projects — ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and design standards.
  • Maintain a clear archive of R&D outputs, documents, and policy drafts for reference and implementation.
  • Assist in building SOPs and process maps that improve efficiency across divisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Industrial Design, Business Development, or related field.
  • At least 1–3 years of experience in R&D, construction project management, or technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical, research, and reporting skills.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and familiar with tools like AutoCAD, Revit, or project management software.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills; can handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Highly organized, resourceful, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willing to work in Iloilo City and travel to project sites when needed.
