Job Summary

The Finance Claims Associate is responsible for processing, validating, and monitoring financial claims to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies. This role involves coordinating with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve discrepancies, verify documentation, and support efficient claims settlement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, review, and process claims (e.g., loss, damage, refund, adjustments) in accordance with established procedures.
  • Validate claim documents and ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with financial and operational policies.
  • Coordinate with operations, customer service, and other departments to investigate and resolve claim-related issues.
  • Record, track, and update claim transactions in the system accurately and promptly.
  • Prepare and submit claims reports and summaries for review by the Finance Supervisor or Manager.
  • Assist in the reconciliation of claims and support month-end financial reporting.
  • Respond to claim inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance claims handling efficiency.
  • Maintain confidentiality and secure handling of financial records and documents.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in finance, accounting, or claims processing (logistics or related industry preferred).
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting systems.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
