About the role

We are seeking an experienced Trading Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The Trading Supervisor oversees and coordinates the daily trading operations of agricultural commodities, including rice, sugar, grains, and other soft commodities. This role involves supervising trading teams, ensuring accurate and timely execution of trades, managing supplier and customer relationships, monitoring market movements, and ensuring compliance with company policies and international trade regulations. The Trading Supervisor plays a key role in driving commercial performance and minimizing trading risks.

What you'll be doing

  • Supervise day-to-day commodity trading activities, ensuring accurate and efficient execution of physical trades.


• Manage and guide trading staff in market analysis, pricing, negotiation, and contract execution.


• Oversee procurement and sales operations with suppliers, brokers, and customers both locally and internationally.


• Monitor global and domestic commodity markets, price trends, and demand-supply dynamics to support strategic trading decisions.


• Review trade contracts, price offers, and deal confirmations to ensure accuracy and compliance.


• Coordinate with logistics, shipping, documentation, and finance teams to ensure smooth delivery and settlement of trades.


• Monitor and manage positions, inventory, pricing exposure, and trading margins.


• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, buyers, traders, and trade partners to maximize trading opportunities.


• Ensure compliance with internal policies, quality standards, and international trade regulations.


• Generate daily and monthly trading performance reports for management review.


• Support the development and implementation of trading strategies, risk controls, and process improvements.


• Mentor and train trading team members to enhance performance and operational efficiency.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, International Trade, Agriculture, Economics, or a related field.


• Minimum 4-6 years of experience in commodity trading (rice, sugar, grains, or other agri-products), with at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior trading role.


• Strong knowledge of commodity markets, pricing structures, logistics, and supply chain operations.


• Proven negotiation and contract management skills.


• Experience in international trading and import/export documentation.


• Experience with trade finance instruments (letters of credit, bills of lading, Incoterms).


• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.


• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with ERP or trading systems.


• Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple transactions under pressure.


• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
