BASIC FUNCTION
The
Trade Marketing Supervisor
supports the Sales Department by developing and executing trade marketing strategies and programs that strengthen brand presence, drive volume growth, and build strong customer relationships. This role ensures that all trade activities are aligned with sales targets and business objectives, working closely with the Sales Team, Marketing, and Distributors to maximize market opportunities and deliver excellence in trade execution.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and execute trade marketing programs that support sales objectives across all key channels and customer segments.
- Collaborate with the Sales Team to identify market opportunities, channel gaps, and promotional strategies that improve sales performance.
- Supervise the implementation of trade promotions, product activations, and merchandising activities in coordination with Sales Representatives and Distributors.
- Monitor trade marketing budgets and spending, ensuring optimal allocation and return on investment (ROI).
- Develop and manage trade materials such as displays, point-of-sale materials, and other marketing collaterals to enhance product visibility.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior
to support strategic sales decisions and new business opportunities. - Strengthen relationships with key accounts and trade partners, ensuring alignment in business development initiatives and joint promotional programs.
- Conduct post-promotion evaluation to measure effectiveness and recommend improvements for future trade programs.
- Support new product launches through planning and coordinating trade introductions, sampling, and display initiatives.
- Ensure alignment of trade activities with company standards on branding, pricing, and merchandising.
- Report regularly on trade marketing performance, market conditions, and competitive insights to Sales and Management teams.
QUALIFICATION GUIDES
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or any related field.
- Experience in trade marketing, channel management, or sales operations, preferably in FMCG, food, or dairy manufacturing industry.
- Experience in coordinating trade promotions and collaborating with key accounts or distributors.
- Strong sales orientation with analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Capable of building strong trade relationships and cross-functional collaboration.
- Highly organized, resourceful, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Strong leadership, initiative, and sense of accountability.
