JOB PURPOSE

To provide engineering expertise on roll-out and execution of corporate programs & initiatives and special projects to all operating and new Cold Storage facilities. This includes regular reporting to the Head of Property Management and coordination with the Facilities Manager and Engineers.

To ensure that the company objectives and strategies with regard to customer service, building life safety, technical audit and enhancement of property values are implemented across the managed property.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepares/Submit to management engineering reports, updates and accomplishments of the Facilities Department.
  • Assist in the implementation and compliance to sustainability programs including EDGE certifications and ESG data reporting.
  • Act as Corporate Safety Officer to identify, review and implement new safety programs and protocols across Artico Cold Storage Facilities.
  • Work closely with corporate quality assurance group (QA) on compliance to different certifications of the Cold Storage Facilities (e.g. NMIS, BFAR, BPI, ISO, and others.)
  • Spearhead feasibility study and execution of CAPEX projects of each property related to sustainability, energy & water management measures.
  • Work consistently with Corporate Compliance Officer of ALLHC to ensure timely closure of Artico Engineering audit findings.
  • Meets with the different Ayala accredited suppliers & vendors pertaining to new technology and equipment in the industry.
  • Will act as Corporate Energy Manager to seek ways and means to conserve energy and other resources of the building w/o sacrificing cold storage operations.
  • Work closely with Property Management, Corporate Engineering, and other business units to ensure facilities run efficiently.
  • Work closely with the corporate sustainability team to ensure all committed programs and targets are achieved based on the company's Key Results Areas on a yearly basis.
  • Provide technical input on improvements, preventive maintenance, and project implementation.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the Pollution Control Officer of the property (LLDA or DENR whichever is applicable). Regular submission of monitoring reports (SMR, CMR, Emission Test Results).
  • Act as Corporate Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and/or Corporate Energy Auditor (if applicable)
  • Attend to regular coordination meetings, events and planning of the company.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Licensed/Professional Mechanical Engineer
  • At least 2 years in Energy management, sustainability and compliance
  • Preferably a resident of Binan, Laguna or other nearby areas.
