We are seeking a highly motivated Facility Engineer to support the efficient operation and maintenance of critical facilities within our semiconductor manufacturing site. The ideal candidate will have experience with cleanroom environments, high-purity systems, and complex utility infrastructure including ultrapure water, compressed gases, HVAC, and electrical distribution. This role is key to ensuring that all facility systems support uninterrupted fab operations in compliance with safety, environmental, and industry standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations and maintenance of critical building systems including:

  • HVAC, cleanroom air handling systems, chillers, and cooling towers

  • Process cooling water (PCW), ultrapure water (UPW), industrial wastewater (IWW), and compressed gas systems
  • High-voltage electrical systems, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and backup generators
  • Coordinate and optimize preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure high reliability.
  • Support cleanroom environment control, including temperature, humidity, and particle count compliance.
  • Work closely with production, EHS, and process engineering teams to ensure facilities meet operational needs.
  • Manage facility-related projects including capacity upgrades, tool installations, retrofits, and expansions.
  • Evaluate and implement energy-saving or sustainability initiatives for utility systems.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance or installations.
  • Ensure all systems and operations comply with local, national, and industry-specific safety, health, and environmental regulations (e.g., SEMI standards, ISO, OSHA).
  • Maintain accurate documentation, drawings, maintenance logs, and equipment manuals.
  • Participate in emergency response and corrective action planning.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or Facilities Engineering (or related field).
  • 3+ years of experience in facilities management or engineering within a semiconductor fab or high-tech manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of cleanroom operation, process utilities, and critical infrastructure systems.
  • Familiarity with SEMI standards, ISO 14644, FMCS/BMS systems, and EHS protocols.
  • Proficiency in facility management tools and CAD software is a plus.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly controlled manufacturing environment.

Preferred:
  • Experience supporting 300mm or 200mm fab operations
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license, or certification in Facility or Energy Management (e.g., FMP, CEM)
  • Familiarity with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), LEAN Manufacturing, or Six Sigma
